A quick update on whats happening in the Merrick Camp. Hugo is no Longer a member of Merrick he will now be concentrating his efforts into his band Senturia and we wish him the best of luck with that.
On the bright side we have a couple of Cracking gigs comming up with Mouth of the Architect on the 11/05 and with Devil Sold His Soul on the 31/05 Both bands are awsome and you should really make sure you can make it down. (both gigs at the Croft, Bristol)
Last weekend we Played at Hostile Theorys CD launch and it was fucking great to be playing to that many people when there was not a single signed band on the bill. So many of you were there, thank you all for the ace reception and a massive thanks to Hostile Theory themselfs for asking us to play. Well done lads, the CD sounds great.

Weekend of Awesomeness

Well that was an awesome weekend. Friday night we played with Magna Saga who were ace at the RingsAroundSaturn CD Launch party. We have played with Rings many time before but I have never seen them play as well as they did on Friday night, awesome.

Saturday we played Cabaret Abattoir at the Tunnels in Bristol. Once again a fucking great night with entertainment that went beyond music. At one point I saw someone dance, then strip pretty much naked then cover herself in cream, sprinkles, custard and cherryaid. Disgusting, I fucking hate custard.

Yeah I've not made an update for a little while, I moved house.

Big thanks to everyone who turned out to support the Oxjam festival, not many down the Croft but still.

Right Next up were playing Sunday in Caldicot at the Halloween alldayer.

After that were Playing the Croft on the 20th on November with a great Lineup: Cars on Fire, Merrick, Ringsaroundsaturn, Hostile Theory

Also this Friday Mark and Hugo's other band Senturia are playing there first gig at the Croft. If you can not make that fear not as they are also part of the lineup on Sundays Caldicot alldayer.

On the 25th October, Merrick are taking part in this years Oxjam Festival in Bristol. There are over 70 acts playing across 7 venues including, Ella, Babyhead and Kid Carpet. Bad news and good. First off the bad, Merrick and Al have parted company, no big rock star breakup, no TV's were thrown out of windows, we remain friends and wish Al all the best with his future projects. Now the good, this evening we auditoned a friend of the band Hugo, all went well and he is now the latest member of Merrick. He'll not be playing the next gig with us, but rest assured it will not be too long before you see him hit the stage with us.
